• The Wasp is just a recommendation.  For both the scanners and the evidence label printers, there is not direct, one-to-one connection EFORCE needs to make. Any scanner that can read CODE39 and any label printer that can connect to a computer and adjust its size to 3×4, is fine.

• Cloud
  • Information stored in the cloud is stored on remote servers, these remote servers can be distributed all around the world.
  • Government Cloud implementations require that the remote servers be located in a specific geographic location. Azure and AWS Government clouds are configured this way, otherwise they behave the same way as any other cloud implementation.

• Hosted
  • Eforce defines its hosted environment as Self-Managed on AWS GovCloud. Under the AWS Shared Responsibility Model, AWS manages the underlying physical infrastructure, including hardware, networking, power, cooling, and data center physical security. Eforce retains full responsibility for our operating systems, applications, configurations, access controls, patch management, and security hardening (CIS/STIG benchmarks as applicable).
  • Rather than maintaining physical servers on-premises or in a co-location facility, our environment runs entirely within AWS GovCloud (US). GovCloud is an isolated AWS Region designed specifically for U.S. government agencies and highly regulated workloads. It supports compliance frameworks including FedRAMP High, DoD IL2–IL5, ITAR, IRS 1075, and CJIS, and restricts access to U.S. persons only.
  • All Eforce instances and resources are deployed within our own AWS accounts and Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), providing logical network isolation from other AWS customers. Instances run under AWS’s standard multi-tenant hypervisor controls with logical isolation enforced at the VPC and security group level. All data, at rest and in transit, remains within U.S. borders inside the GovCloud boundary, satisfying data residency requirements under applicable compliance obligations. Our architecture supports multi-Availability Zone deployment, providing redundancy and high availability without the operational overhead of managing physical hardware.

• SaaS
  • Software as a service (Saas) allows users to connect to cloud-based applications on the internet. Common examples are email, and office tools like our Microsoft Office 365. The ‘as a service’ aspect of Saas means that companies do not have to worry about installing, renewing, or maintaining software on-premise.

• Bandwidth
  • A measurement of the amount of data that can be transmitted over a network at any given time. The higher the network’s bandwidth, the greater the volume of data that can be transmitted. 

• Broadband Connection
  • A high-speed Internet connection; at present, cable modems and DSL (Digital Subscriber Lines) are the two technologies that are most commonly available to provide such access.
