The Company

Technology

Over 8 years ago there was a collective agreement within the eFORCE® organization that the current development path and business practices in the public safety software industry had to change.  Many companies were at the time, and still are, offering legacy systems even though they may have added new user interfaces. Others companies moved to a client – server based solution.  Both solutions had their advantages and disadvantages but never addressed the issue that a software solution must continue to be an operational support tool for the customer.  In short, your software should support you; you should not have to support your software. Too many times we found that perspective client’s motivation to move to a different system was that their current software was difficult to use, took to many internal resources to operate, and was expensive to maintain. In addition, data sharing was becoming more prevalent and these systems weren’t capable to handle this type of functionality.

In 2003, eFORCE® began its development on the next generation of public safety software browser-based products, which would solve many of the problems associated with software in this industry.  It was concluded that a browser-based (ASP.NET – SQL Server) suite of products was the future of public safety.  This platform was inherently designed for data sharing, is easy to use, can be accessed from anywhere, fit into a hosted or a SaaS (Software as a Service) model, is cost effective, and has the tools to build reliable and robust solutions.

Today, eFORCE® is the only vendor in the industry to have a complete suite of browser-based products including Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Software (RMS), Jail Management Software (JMS), Civil Process, Mobile, and Municipal Court.  In fact, most of these modules are in their 2nd or 3rd major release on our browser-based platform.  Not only are the eFORCE® products a generation ahead of the competition, they are proven reliable, and provide functionality other solutions do not.  We are providing the technology and functionality that others simply just talk about doing in the future.
